"Hogwarts always has a place for you"

May or may not have shed a tear (only one, I promise) watching the speeches given by the actors and J.K Rowling at the last Harry Potter movie premiere. So sad, it's like the end of my childhood. So glad I was born in Harry Potter prime time, it's my version of my mum saying she saw man walk on the moon on television, yes that's how much Harry Potter means to me. Now lets look at the outfits!
Looking very tanned Malfoy

I love her to bits but maybe Oscar de la Renta + tulle + floor length gown was a bit too much for a movie premiere? She looked lovely though. Nah feck it, I love it, she could wear a muumuu & I'd love it.

Oh patel, you saucy minx... I don't like it.
J.K you are so lovely, but this dress isn't. In the words of my wise housemate "It looks like a doona (duvet) cover!"

love her.
SO Neville keeps getting better looking by the moment.
Luna Lovegood looks a tad bit like a sluz, but I'll forgive her.

I'm Melting

Arcade Fire was great and worth the battle wounds (I'll post about it later).  I can't believe how hot it is at the moment in Bologna, it's only day 6 of summer and it's 35 degrees. I'm not looking forward to July/August.

Now the cities we live in could be distant stars

Arcade Fire tonight in Milano.  A friend recently watched them play in Warsaw, Poland and said they were everything she expected and more, so I'm excited. However... they didn't play 'Suburban War', which is my favourite song off the new album. They better play that, or at least 'No Cars Go' otherwise shit is going to hit the fan! haha. No... but I really do love live acts that make full use of percussion instruments so I'm sure I will enjoy it no matter what. PS. I umm'd and ahh'd over a pair of heels in H&M today and decided to think on them for a day or two. As soon as I had walked home I knew I wanted them; black (go with everything), unbelievable comfortable, and would slot in well with wardrobe. I was home for just 5 minutes before I turned around to go buy them, got to H&M and they didn't have my size anymore.. it had been 1 hour max and they weren't even sales items. Devo. So tomorrow I'm going to hunt them down in Milano.

I think the secret to being cool is...

Don't wear your jacket properly! Wear it like a flimsy cape or shawl. No seriously, doesn't it get tedious picking up your Chanel off the floor? I've tried it, and I just found it annoying and pointless, I wasn't remotely warm. Why buy a blazer if you're not going to put your arms through the sleeves, buy a vest, a cape, or better yet one of those sleepy-support pillows people wear on planes around their necks; maximum power puff, minimum arm coverage. Nothing says FIERCE like inflatable neck support. I think I'm on to something...

Except for you Taylor, I love you.

Failed Housewives

I've noticed a lot of blogs do a section where they post amazing recipes and baked goods that they make, so why not join the bandwagon right? Alessandra (a friend from Australia who lives in Bologna too) and I planned to make some amazing cookies to eat on a balmy summer evening. We researched on the internet for some bad ass peanut butter and chocolate cookies and decided we'd put our own spin on things and add condensed milk, chocolate peanut m&ms and other various delicious things.
There's no way they could turn out wrong with these ingrediants right? Wrong.
First off, we both discovered as we were mixing ingrediants that we both suck at baking, in fact I find it ridculously stressful and almost always stuff it up.
The mixture was looking amazing, smelling fantastic; "There is no way these will taste bad, even if they don't turn out as cookies, they're going to be amazing, we just can't burn them"
So we set the timer at 10 minutes, even though the recipe recommends 15, just so we can be extra careful and check on them.
CATASTROPHE!
Oh not all is lost, our second batch wasn't burnt.
After tasting some of our 'fresh outta the oven produce': "Dude they're not even that nice. ... ... We suck!!".
So we licked our wounds, chucked out the burnt batch and then plated up the crap-tasting ones for our housemates, who actually liked them? They had cooled down.. and we liked them too, but the amount of butter and sugar and peanut butter and condensed milk and chocolate in them, meant that one bite was so sickly it rendered us with instant stomach aches. Then we watched Black Swan, which psychologically damaged us, to the point where I worked up a sweat from stress (it was also 33 degrees). All in all a top night.

So the moral of the story...I'm not going to be a blog that does baked goods.

The End.

Development

So I had a mind blank during the sales currently going on and spent a whole lot of money I don't have on a whole load of things I don't really need (Some stuff I can't even wear, i.e. suede high heels x Bologna do not mix well. Think; pebble-stone roads, pot-holes, and clubs that are known for spilling drinks left, right and centre). Although what I bought I'd had my eye on for a while, so it's worth it right? Possibly my next purchase will be one of these necklaces, they have been around for a while, but I've decided I want one now...

There's too much to do in Berlin

I've spent the good part of today researching on what to do in Berlin, and there is far too much to cram into the 4 days I will be visiting there, but I'd hate to miss out on anything! Yikes.

Love My Way

Just found out I will be receiving all three seasons of Love My way in July. If you haven't watch this tv show, go do yourself a favour. However it's a bit of an unknown Australian drama and therefore it might be hard to find... but it's worth it! For those of you who are familiar with Australian actors it's got Asher Keddie from Offspring, Sam Worthington from Avatar & Brendan Cowell (one of my favourite actors!).
