Not What Seems

It is true that I miss intelligent companionship, but there are so few with whom I can share the things that mean so much to me that I have learned to contain myself. It is enough that I am surrounded with beauty.

Ophelia by Alexandre Cabanel
I don't know why, but I'm obsessed by the character Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet. Probably orignally spurred by the poster for Melancholia where Kirsten is reminsicent of the famous painting of Ophelia by John Everett Millais. There's something very tragic and beautiful about her depictions.
