Sporty Spice

I'm definitely seeing a surge in the sport inspired fashion, and while I can't say I'm the hugest fan of the more pronounced items, I have noticed that my latest acquisitions have been quite sporty. I've found myself purchasing tight pants which a reminiscent of jogging pants (similar concept seen in the Alexander Wang pants seen below, but replace stripes with 2 tones of black), a tailored top that is made out of wetsuit-esque material, a tight fitting base-ball top (you know the type with a different coloured 3/4 sleeves, I've actually been wanting one of these for a long time). And while I hate to think I'm a sucker of trends, the above mentioned is clearly evidence that I am. I like to think that all the items are quite classic and will be part of my closet for a long time, I'm not about to go out and buy one of those leather trucker hats, eugh!

I say you're the bestest.

So tempted to get on the layering of floral prints bandwagon, it is like making flowers bad ass and edgy, which I'm up for...but I fear it is a trend that will fade fast. I'm also going to go back to summer in Sydney; layering won't be viable. I'm at the point where I just like investing in great basics as I've come to the realisation that my wardrobe is humongous. I've forgotten how much clothes I've left at home, in fact I've forgotten they even existed...it kind of scares me. Can't wait to be reunited with  my beloved shoe collection.

Speaking of trends: Lana Del Rey seems to be trending a bit, and I know some people may ride her off as a fad, but I'm totally in love with her. I know there's a bit of hysteria around whether she is fake or not but I've read a lot of interviews with her and she just seems lovely.  I can admit that I didn't really dig her at first, but she has grown on me so much. She is kind of filling the void that Amy Winehouse left for me, I hope it is not completely taboo to say so, sorry.

Novelty

Finally got glitter nail polish!! - I love it just by itself....but I still like plain white nails better

 It's only a small detail but I like the belt buckle on the back in this photo...Might try it myself.

 These jackets have been around for a while but I really like this one by Rag & Bone..It's a simple casual cool look.

 Prints - you all know they are going to big.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm addicted to my denim jacket - this fluoro one intrigues me.. don't know if I could do it though... screams a bit too much for me.
