PS an irrelevant update because I'm overjoyed. In 2009 I bought a vintage suede skirt in London because it was so great and weird, even if it was too small. I wanted to get it altered to be high-waisted but no one would alter it for a reasonable price in Sydney because of the way the leather was cut. I was even adamant that I would take it to Italy with me and get it altered in Florence, but my bag weight limit didn't allow me to pack 'extras'. Anyway - today I tried it on, just because - and it fit perrrrrfectly!!
