There's a lot of hype about TOKO. You either love or hate their design. I think they are addressing a market in graphic design that most other Sydney studios have overlooked. Some rule it out as being too Scandinavian in design, whilst somewhat true I don't think this is the whole truth. Toko's always brings an experimental quality to their work, no matter how corporate the project may be. Their use of colour is flawless and their choice of typefaces are unconventional but somehow always the most fitting. There is clear direction, a welcomed lack of repetition and a considered approach that doesn't equate to stark design.

Tech-Nerd
A very cool and beautiful look into Google's Data Centers. Inconceivable before, it's definitely worth a look at all the photos here, they have bits of information to describe each photograph which is really interesting (robotic arms & stuff!)

Sittin' On A Ruin.
I had my 5 year school reunion last night - and I knew it would be messy considering there was a bar tab - but I didn't realise just how messy it would get, the good kind of messy that involves singing Chris Brown in public and trying to get into crappy local pubs after you've travelled back home. I spent today in a daze napping and reading, but I'll have you know that I did go out for a run. Am now going to get knee deep in some personal projects, I've had a wave of inspiration and am listening to Cat Power. Good things are happening.

Full Denim Jacket
I unintentionally live in my denim jacket and I did not even realise it until people started saying that they think of me when they wear a denim jacket - which I think is kind of cool/sweet? Mine is a silly one I bought years ago on sale for $20 dollars - whoop! I'm about to go out (when I wrote this post) and my denim jacket is in the wash and I don't know what to do with myself - what do I wear now?!!? A denim jacket is great because it dresses down a flashy outfit when travelling to your destination and you feel a bit too bling, it's street-chic, its got a collar so you can pop it to feel fly (lolz), you can slap denim in a bit of nightclub grime and not worry about it cause denim is quite durable and looks great with a bit of wear and tear, its also neutral coloured so it works well with patterns. I could keep going...
So here's to you, my ultimate basic, my lover, my friend - the denim jacket.

93 'Til Infinity
Just some things I've been working on lately - all disconnected and all random pieces. They probably look really crap out of context - but whatever! Confession: I am so into Justin Beiber's and Nicki Minaj's new song - woooooo!
All Your Forms
I've got that lightness of relaxation, like when you wake up from a nap in the park or finish a really good book - or listen to a really good album. The perfect holiday feeling. Already going through leisurely pleasures that I denied myself when I was knee deep in university work. Have spent the day shopping and returned home to read The Beach (which I am loving). I also got stuck into watching half of The Tree of Life - I could see why people would dislike it, but I don't so far. I've taken a time out and will continue the second half another day. I am so tired at the moment and feel like I would appreciate it more if I felt a little more awake.
I've updated my online portfolio with newer works, or better photographs (it actually took forever). I've reopened and updated my Loop account (I'm wary of being too available online, I won't be reopening my Twitter account any time soon) I am also wanting to start a personal project these holidays (I will be designing the creative story I wrote for my HSC English exam a wee 5 years ago) and want to re-code my portfolio with my new found html & CSS skills.
Keeping busy. Keeping inspired.
