La Biennale di Venezia

I remember learning about the Venice Biennale in school before I knew where Venice was (geography was never my strong point).  It's crazy to think that this year I'll actually be attending it.  I can not wait! This is the 54th Biennale and it's called ILLUMInations.  To celebrate its opening this June 4th and it's continuation till the 27th of November, let's take a look at Ricky Swallow. Possibily my favourite  Australian sculptor artist who exhibited at the 2005 Venice Biennale.

Obsessed

With the new Nixon Time Teller Acetate Watch. The blue one is amazing... maybe I can get rid of my 'ironic' white watch... never!

Relaxed.

I went through a phase where I used to wear the weirdest stuff... I thought I was awesome, bleughh! Now I'm much preferring a relaxed look, loving these outfits by Madwell, especially the last set! Would love to slot those get-ups straight into my wardrobe.

Tie-Dye

Apparently this lady taught Martha Stewart to tie-dye, so you know she's good. Such lovely tie-dye.

The Man Repeller

new.favourite.blog.... actually think I am inlove.
let's break it down:

"

MAN·RE·PELL·ER1  [MAHN-REE-PELLER]

–noun
outfitting oneself in a sartorially offensive way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex. Such garments include but are not limited to harem pants, boyfriend jeans, overalls (see: human repelling), shoulder pads, full length jumpsuits, jewelry that resembles violent weaponry and clogs.
–verb (used without object),-pell·ing, -pell·ed.
to commit the act of repelling men:
Girl 1: What are you wearing to the party?
Girl 2: My sweet lime green drop crotch utility pants!
Girl 1: Oh, so we're man repelling tonight?
*DISCLAIMER: the above conversation is not a dramatization, took place in this room 5 minutes ago.

Amazing, no??

Her little quirky commentary of her photos are hilarious plus she has a great wardrobe, what else do you need in a blog?

In Bruges

"We're In Bruges... like the movie, that movie we all haven't seen..."

Some lovely things & a rant to boot!

I hate it when a grown woman.. or even a girl for that matter, refers to herself as 'gal', it makes me cringe.

On another note...

Den Haag

Just a day in Den Haag, Netherlands. I really liked this city. I don't have many photos to show you. We went and saw the painting 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring'. It's probably the first really famous painting that I've been blown away by in real life. Any reprint doesn't do it justice, it was so beautiful. I can't believe the pearl  was only painted with two brush strokes.
