Mi Sento Male

Am inlove with Columbine's Missoni scarf. In the past I found Missoni really drab, I guess I had never walked into a Missoni Store. In Milan I did, and I was blown away. Some truly amazing stuff.

Such a lovely colour!

Recommendations

In Naples and Florence I encountered some vintage shops, I also searched out some that people had recommended to me. That had me thinking that I might compile a list of shops and restaurants that I like, as well as great vintage places that I encounter around the world for you fellow travellers who might share similar interests. I've found people's recommendations really helpful in the past, so I hope some of you might appreciate this. Check the side bar or bottom of this blog, recommendations coming soon - and continually updated. I hope your holidays are amazing, I'm off to Berlin and Stockholm next Wednesday and I cannot wait. I can't wait to get Stockholm (Less Is More ) Syndrome. Minimalism is my middle name.

Tick-Tock

My all white watch is on it's last legs... It's one of those plastic swatch ones. I've been wearing it everyday since December - which isn't very long but I have worn it everyday, only taking it off once or twice. In true Alyssa style I have attempted to superglue it back together, haha. I think it's time for a new watch!

They had gold wrist cuffs on sale at H&M a while back for only 3 Euros, might go check if they are still there now. Wish me luck x

End of childhood

Just watched The final Harry Potter movie, and so marks the end of my childhood. I miss it already. I sat and watched all the credits because I didn't want it to be over. I've only just seen it because I've been looking for somewhere that played the movie in English without subtitles (they distact from the film...i'm tedious, sue me). I really enjoyed the film and the cinematography was great. Ohwell, I'll continue loving all things hary potter and wishing I was Emma Watson. Oh! And when I return to sydney I'll have my dog called Harry potter prancing around to constantly remind me, mraw. Ps sorry or any mistakes, I'm typing this on my phone. HP4EVA.

aloha!

Back from Roma (Vatican City), Napoli, Pisa, Firenze and Pompei, which I did with my Dad. He's left now :( But Daniel's here and we leave tonight on a 4.43 am train (euggh) for Prague and then Vienna. So not much blogging for a little while more. Rome was good, except I think I'm over ancient ruins for the moment, St Peter's Basilica in Vatican city was amazing. Naples was crazy, I felt like I was in Thailand? It was so hot and there were people and cars and bikes and buses everywhere, but I ate the best pizza ever (yes, very cliche; from the Eat Pray Love Pizzeria - Da Michele's). I also did a day trip from Naples to Pompeii, which I've been wanting to do for a while since I studied it for my final exams in high school for Ancient History. I understand its not everyone's cup of tea, it was draining, endless streets, old buildings everywhere, but I think because I had a lot of knowledge I found it fascinating. I went back to Florence as well, which holds my favourite building in all of Italy so far - the Duomo, it never ceases to blow me away. If you ever get the chance to climb the dome on top - you must do it!! We also did a day trip from Florence to Pisa; it doesn't show the full effect from my photos - but that Tower is leaning....really leaning, I have no idea how it is standing. When I climbed it, the instant I walked in, I felt off balance. Here are some shots from Florence & Pisa.

A Napoli

Its friggin' mental here in Naples & soo hot. Just came back from a day in Pompeii, my year 12 Ancient History teacher would be so proud. Also just ate a bad ass pizza. Photos and stories when I get back to Bologna on the 19th x

Under My Thumb

Last post for a while! I'll blog every so often but it won't be frequently, I hope you all enjoy your Summer, and your Winter for my homeboys in Aus-town, miss you!! Seriously going Rolling Stones crazy. Every song is so perfect as a Summer fun song. Jumpin' Jack Flash & Under my thumb are getting me in the mood for Summer travels (L). P.S I do '(L)' a lot, and it's an oldskool habit I can't kick. If you type that on MSN Messenger it comes up with a love heart symbol. I just take it for granted that everyone knows what I mean when I type it.

I'm loving two toned everything at the moment, hair, bags, shoes, PANTS!
I wan't cut out wedges, I'm not a HUGE fan of these c shoes, but I do like the cut out heel.
 Cute!
Love Mexican Day of the Dead skulls

The PERFECT cut for denim shorts, not too short, not tight and look great with a belt, I think the secret is  a low drop crutch.

Probably my favourite combination in the world, belted dress with hardcore boots.

You know how I feel about this Prada skirt.
